WHO WE ARE

The aim of the Wolverton Science and Art Institute Fund is to promote the education and in particular in Art, Science and related subjects for people who are residing, studying or working in the Parishes of Wolverton and Stantonbury.

From the coming of the railway until the Second World War, the Wolverton Science and Arts Institute was the most important social and educational centre in North Buckinghamshire. After it’s destruction in a fire, the proceeds from the sale of the land that the original Science and Art Institute was built on was invested in trust to the Wolverton Science and Art Institute Trust. It is interest from these investments that is used to make annual awards.
